Description
Walk the grounds and explore the majestic historic buildings while they are all lit up for the holidays! Farolitos, luminarias, and Christmas lights will adorn the outdoor walks accompanied by guitarists, piano players, and other musical entertainment. Arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, and hot mulled wine from Black Mesa Winery will be available for people to purchase and enjoy as they explore the grounds. Children’s activities will also be available!
Bring jackets, gloves, and hats to keep warm!
- Take a stroll around our Christmas market and stock up on homemade soaps, ornaments, floral arrangements, traditional pottery, jewelry and more!
- Enjoy food from A’s BBQ, La Jicarita Harvest, Marissa’s Biscochitos, Geronimo’s oven bread, Roberta’s green chile stew, tamales, and more!
- From 6:00-6:30pm, enjoy a poetry reading with Dr. Patricia Perea, Project Director, Manitos Community Memory Project, presented by Following the Manito Trail & the Millicent Rogers Museum in the Grand Sala of the Hacienda. Enjoy music from Irene Adams in the Grand Sala of the Hacienda.
- Stay warm in the craft room and create "tin" ornaments with the kiddos, both to take and to decorate the Los Luceros tree with!
- And weather permitting, view the winter stars and observe bright planets with astronomers from PEEC and Pajarito Astronomers.
