Description
Join us for the opening of Sandroing: Tracing Kastom in Vanuatu. Celebrate the mesmerizing sand drawing tradition of Vanuatu—recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage. This is the first exhibition focused on sandroing outside Melanesia, created in collaboration with the Vanuatu Kaljoral Senta & Nasonal Misium (VKS).
Opening Day Highlights:
- 1:00 PM – Remarks by curators & Welkam ceremony
- Hands-on activities: fan-making & sandroing demos
- 1:30 & 3:30 PM – Traditional dance performances
- 2:00–4:00 PM – Light refreshments
