Join Dr. Lillian Gorman for a community roundtable workshop diving deep into the stories of New Mexico Spanish and our roles in sharing and preserving it.

Dr. Gorman is an associate professor at the University of Arizona and serves Director of the Spanish as a Heritage Language Program in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese.  Her research interests center around issues of language and identity within U.S. Latina/o/x communities and in U.S. Latina/o/x popular culture. Her interdisciplinary work also focuses on heritage language pedagogy and its intersections with bilingual education. She is a graduate of The University of New Mexico and multigenerational New Mexican (Norteña).
